Timetables
Our timetables are unique: each student is given their own provision with the clear aim of supporting them to re-engage with education and build the strategies they need to succeed after they leave us. We do this through careful initial assessment and planning, then we work to co-create timetables that inspire our learners. This can include both on-site and off-site activities. We know that school buildings can be triggering for students, and each person has a different starting point. Some need support to re-access any formal education, whereas others are confident enough to start straight away in the classroom.
Our timetables recognise this and are planned accordingly. We are well resourced. We have a kitchen, a music studio and therapy rooms. We also have a pastoral office, an art room, a small garden space and a courtyard for sports. We have an off-site adventure playground and garden that we use for some of our forest school activities. We work in partnership with Clifton College, a private school with some of the best sports facilities in the city. LPW School also has a unique partnership with a 40-acre working farm (Uncle Paul’s Chilli Farm). This acts as an alternative classroom for us, supporting learners to explore and connect with nature. Learners engage in hands-on agricultural and horticultural activities, gaining practical skills and a deeper understanding of sustainable practices that can support them in securing their next stages.
